Measure while connected.
Or store locally as well.

Both sensor variants use the same path: Sensor → Cloud Connector → Cloud. Additional local recording distinguishes the logger with Data Backfill.

The connection.
Between sensor and cloud.

The Cloud Connector receives radio data from your sensors and forwards it to the Disruptive Technologies cloud. Studio turns the readings into clear temperature histories.

Stored on site.
In the cloud later.

Our logger variant stores readings locally when there is no connection. They are automatically transmitted after reconnection.

01 / SET UP

Prepare your measurement.

Match the Data Backfill variant, measurement interval, planned duration and subsequent cloud access to your task.

02 / STORE LOCALLY

Record offline too.

When no connector is within reach, readings initially remain in the sensor's memory. Storage capacity is limited.

Local readings · no live access
03 / BACKFILL

Connect. Synchronise.

Once a stable connection is restored, stored readings are automatically synchronised via the Cloud Connector.

One reading captures a moment.
A profile shows the history.

The draft describes temperature profiles over several days to assess the dynamics of circulation systems and different operating conditions. Data Backfill loggers can form part of a professionally defined measurement plan.

Simply explained

Good to know.

Key answers before your first measurement point.

Which two sensor variants does SmartSensio offer?

A temperature sensor for continuous transmission or a temperature logger with additional Data Backfill. Both transmit to the cloud via a Cloud Connector.

What do I need in addition to the logger?

A compatible Cloud Connector and an active sensor subscription. Once set up, the Data Backfill variant can also record temporarily without a connection.

Where can I view temperature histories?

In Studio by Disruptive Technologies. Find out more under Cloud & Dashboard.

Does a sensor mounted outside a pipe measure water temperature?

It measures the pipe surface. This can differ from the water temperature; installation and surroundings affect the result.

Can I buy the products directly online?

All products are available on enquiry. The form is non-binding and does not place an order.
