Typical applications

Where data
provides insight.

Interpret temperature data within operational processes.

01

Kitchen refrigeration appliances

Review histories throughout opening hours, preparation and cleaning.

02

Chilled and storage areas

Measure at selected positions to document ambient conditions.

03

Operational checks

Use temperature recordings as one part of your operational documentation.

A history complements checks.

A measurement series shows how temperature develops at one point over time. Door openings, loading and defrosting phases may become visible. Measurement positions and normal operating conditions are documented to support meaningful assessment.

Distinguish air from food temperature.

Air inside a fridge can warm faster than its contents. Conversely, one cold spot does not describe conditions at every product. Requirements for core temperatures or direct product measurements call for an appropriate measurement method.

The operator defines limits, checking procedures and required evidence for the specific application. Sensors do not automatically replace the full operational hygiene or inspection process.

Sensor and cloud connectivity.

For ongoing monitoring: a temperature sensor and a Cloud Connector within reach. After interruptions, the Backfill variant adds stored readings to the history.

For air temperature measurements inside refrigeration equipment, the manufacturer recommends suitable, thermally isolated mounting with DT accessories. Mounting surface and wireless coverage are assessed for the application; a pipe mount is not the standard solution for this task.

If your process requires EN 12830 certification, the specific certified sensor variant must be selected. The EU 102683 variant offered here is not generally represented as EN 12830 certified.

Frequently asked questions.

Can a logger replace every manual check?

It can contribute temperature data to operational documentation. Additional checks and measures depend on the specific process and operational requirements.

Can I measure food core temperatures directly?

The compact sensor offered here measures its local surroundings or surface. Direct core or probe measurements require a suitable measurement method.

Are current remote alarms possible without a connection?

Without a connection, readings initially remain in local memory. Current cloud readings and notifications based on them are unavailable during this period. A continuous warning concept requires reliable online connectivity.
